Danny L. Whittaker

Danny L. Whittaker, 76, of Englewood, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton Inpatient Care Center. He was born to Jack & Mary Whittaker on August 25, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio. Danny was a member of the Vandalia Church of the Nazarene. He was retired from Delta Airlines, with over 31 years of service, and had served in the Ohio Air National Guard. Danny loved baseball, Ohio State Football and University of Dayton Basketball. His greatest love was for his grandchildren, who he enjoyed and supported in all their endeavors.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary, and his beloved wife of 47 years, Cynthia L. Whittaker, in 2017.

Survived by his children, Wendi Christopher (Charles) and Justin Whittaker (Katie); grandchildren, Robert, Alanna, Ryleigh, Liam (Mary), Brady, Aiden & Stella; sister, Rebecca Bakri (Munir); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends.

The family will receive friends 5:00-6:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2026 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH 45377, with the memorial service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Rev. Robert Vogelmann, officiating. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
