Cleora "Cleo" M Hartman

HARTMAN, Cleora M. Cleo age 85 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 in California. She was born March 4, 1923 in Ambia, Indiana, daughter of the late Joseph & Anna V. Pitts. Cleo was a Vandalia resident most of her married life and she was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church since its inception in 1957. Cleo was the beloved wife of 60 years, to the late Robert L. Hartman. She was a loving mother to her surviving children, Deborah Hartman (Galehouse) & husband, Dave, Calvin L. Hartman & wife, Ann, Vickie L. Smith & husband, Scott, Gary A. Hartman, Teresa A. Key & husband, Don, Jeffrey C. Hartman and Patricia M. Merrick & husband, Marlin; 14 grandchildren, Corey, Tanya, John, Tara, Quinn, Garrett, Eric, Tristan, Scott, Andy, John, Jason, Todd & Kelli; 2 great-grandchildren, Morgan & Gavin; her sisters, Ione and Marjean and her brother, Melvin. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, December 15 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Friends may call at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Sunday from 2-4 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or St. Vincent DePaul in Cleos memory.
