Christopher John Niarhos

NIARHOS, Christopher John, age 73 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 in Bradenton, FL. He was born October 13, 1938 in Uniontown, PA, son of the late Frank & Ruth (Greene) Niarhos. Christopher was a retired employee of the Chrysler Corporation, U.S. Navy Veteran, a life member of the AmVets Post #99, a member of the VFW Post #9582 and the American Legion Post #668. Preceded in death by his wife, Lila Jean and 3 brothers, Robert, Charlie & Mitchell, Christopher is survived by 5 children, Debbie Grieshop (Dick), Mike Wissinger (Linda), Jim Wissinger (Candy), Bob Wissinger, & Christa Reynolds (Steve); 1 brother, Tony Niarhos; 2 sisters, Regina Hawk & Mary Hudgins; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 4, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in Christophers memory.
