Christopher David Krauth

Christopher David Krauth, age 45, of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida, formerly of Vandalia, Ohio. He was a graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School and Purdue University, and passed away on June 26, 2026, at Lee Health Gulf Coast Medical Center.

Chris was a kind soul whose adventurous spirit loved the Kansas City Chiefs, Ohio State Buckeyes, and his Purdue Boilermakers.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents Betty Schmidt, Virginia and Robert Hilderbrand, and cousins Hunter and Derrick.

Chris leaves behind his parents, Cathy and David Krauth; grandfather, Clarence Schmidt; girlfriend, Katrena Young; best friend, Carrie Johns; aunts and uncles Jean and Bob Bowermeister, Jim and Lyn Schmidt, John and Karen Schmidt; cousins Lauren, Doug, Meghan, Thomas, David, Justin, Lindsey, Michelle, Nathan, and countless friends.

Chris’ life will be honored on Saturday, July 11 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at The Whale on Fort Myers Beach. 1249 Estero Blvd, 3rd Floor, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931.
