Carrol J. Hewitt

HEWITT, Carrol J ., age 84 of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at her residence. Carrol was born August 26, 1932 in Dayton, daughter of Rowl Warren & Sudie (Mardis) Crossley. She was the co-owner of Hewitt Plumbing and the former co-owner of the Cliffhanger, Courtyard Lounge, and Matchmaker Lounge. Carrol was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford K. Hewitt; step-father, Harold Crossley and 4 brothers, Ronnie, Raymond, John & Neil Warren. She is survived by 5 daughters, Debbie del Valle of Delray Beach, FL, Pamela & husband William Surber of Greeley, CO, Sharon & husband Andy Bliss of Dayton, Tracy Howard of N. Port, FL, and Marlena & husband Jeff Pence of Dayton; grandchildren Brandy Hewitt, Joshua Pence, TaLee Howard and Hunter Howard; 1 great-grandson, Parker Pence and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, April 29 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10:00 am until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Carrol’s memory.
