Carole Lynn Gladura

Carole Lynn Gladura, 78, of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton Inpatient Care Center. She was born to Russell & Edith Hoover on December 14, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio. Carole had worked for ShopSmith, and later, Roth Office Products for many years. She was a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed collecting angels.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Russell & Edith, and her sister-in-law, Nupin Hoover.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Jennifer Richards (David Shearer); brother, David Hoover (Ruzzana); cousin, Barb Long, and longtime friend, Charlene.

Graveside service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery (Section 6), 1835 N. Dixie Dr., Dayton, with Pastor Benjamin Prill, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Assn. or Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton in Carole’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
