Brian A. Cheatwood

Age 28, of Butler Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 26, 2017. He was born April 19, 1989 in Dayton to Richard A. & Ingrid C. (Donaldson) Cheatwood. Brian was preceded in death by his father.

He will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who liked to tinker, bicycle and just be outdoors. He was a member of the Dayton Diode Club. Brian graduated from Vandalia-Butler High School, class of 2008 and earned his Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Wright State University.

Brian is survived by his mother, Ingrid McGuire (Don); brother, Eric Cheatwood (Kelly); grandfather, S. Dean Donaldson; and two uncles, Grant Donaldson (Roberta) & their children, Avery & Adam and David Donaldson (Pam) & their children, Rachel & Kyle.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Jauss officiating. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery.
