Robert V. Collins, Jr.

COLLINS, Robert Vernon (Bob) age 79 of Vandalia, passed away Monday September 7th, 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born September 24,1946 in Dayton Ohio son of the late Robert Collins and Iris (Parr) Collins. Bob was a member of the First Light Church of Vandalia, and a loving husband, father and grandfather and forever a Marine. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lois Collins, parents, one daughter, Tracy Lynn Collins; sister, Chris Cundiff, brother Mike Collins, brother Tim Collins. 

Bob is survived by his beloved family sisters Rob Dirr, Ellen Singer, brother-in-law Harold Cundiff, brother in laws Larry O’Shell (Marty Bartolac); grandchildren, Zachary B. Collins, Laken N. Collins and Kylie B. Lovejoy numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and wonderful friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 12th at the First Light Church, 140 Elva Ct., Vandalia with Mr. Ed Kuhn officiating. Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Vandalia. The family will receive friends at First Light Church on Saturday from 10am until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
