Bill & Bonnie Shoup

Arthur "Bill" Shoup was born on October 23, 1927 to Clara (nee Armold) and Arthur Shoup, Sr. and passed away November 13, 2024. Lois “Bonnie” Lavonne Shoup was born December 13, 1931 to Geraldine (nee Houtz) and Cliff Ellis and passed away April 10, 2023.

Bill and Bonnie were both born and raised in Vandalia, Ohio. They were devoted and loving parents to their daughter, Sharon Lytle and her late husband, Jim and son, Randy Shoup and wife, Judy. They cherished their wonderful grandsons, Patrick (Julie) Lytle and Kyle Shoup. They will be greatly missed by their family and friends, as well as Joey the cat, who was a constant comfort to Bill. Bonnie was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Peterson (Bob).

Bill honorably served his country in the United States Navy, worked for Prudential for 28 years, and was a longtime Mason with the Vandalia Lodge #724. As an avid fisherman, Bill spent many peaceful days on the water with his family and friends.

A Memorial Graveside service for Bill and Bonnie will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 26 at Polk Grove Cemetery, 9190 Frederick Pike, with Rev. Michael Malcosky officiating.
