Beverly Sue Sweeney

Beverly Sue “Bev” Sweeney, 84, of Vandalia, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 in her home. Bev was born on December 11, 1940 in Lima, Ohio to John & Doris Swartz. She worked at Lyton Electronics for 10 years and Spectra Precision for 15 years. She attended Salem Church of God and enjoyed sewing for Mission Threads of Love and Trailblazers. Beverly belonged to a card club that she really enjoyed and always had a great time at family get-togethers. She loved flowers and planting her garden while she was able.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Doris Swartz; her beloved husband of 45 years, Robert J. Sweeney; sons, Michael & David Sweeney; brother, Ronald Swartz; several brothers-in-laws & sisters-in-law.

Survived by her son, Dennis Alan Sweeney (Patsy); daughter-in-laws, Tami & Megumi; eleven grandchildren, John, Kimberly (Jason), Suni (Derrick), Steven (Jessica), Jessica Z, Jessica, Travis, Samantha (Nathan), Eric, Lizzy, & Missy; 12 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. Saturday, June 14th at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S.
