Betty L. Fichtner

FICHTNER, BETTY L. Age 91, of LaGrange, IN, formerly of Butler Township, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 in LaGrange after a short illness. She was born September 7, 1919 in Laurel, MS. She was a US Army Veteran of WWII serving as a nurse. She was a member of the Vandalia Lioness, Vandalia Senior Citizens and the National Audubon Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R. Fichtner, 1 daughter, Evelyn Williams, 1 son, Stuart Fichtner & 2 brothers. Betty is survived by 1 son, John & wife Joann Fichtner of LaGrange, IN; 1 daughter, Ann Harroun of Portland, OR; 1 grandson, Zachary. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the Morton and & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Rev. Thomas Weeks officiating. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5 to 8 PM. Lions memorial services at 8:00 PM.
