Betty J. Carnes

CARNES, Betty J., age 82 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013, at the Wood Glen Alzheimers Community, after a lengthy illness. She was born October 10, 1930 in KY daughter of the late Frank and Easter Perry. Betty was a retired employee of Inland Division of GM with 25 years of service. She was a member of the AMVETS Post #99 Ladies Auxiliary and Kettering VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Preceded in death by first husband Edward Foister, Sr. in 1972, her second husband, Donald H. Carnes in 1995, 1 son, Richard Foister, 1 sister, Dorothy Hubbard and 2 brothers, Harold & Harry Perry. Betty is survived by 1 son, Lee Foister of Vandalia; 1 sister, Barbara & husband Jay Harvey; 4 grandchildren, Lori Lynn, Becky, Peggy, Jennifer & husband Ralph; 3 great-grandchildren; Jocelyn, Michael & Payton and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, with Pastor Bob Conger officiating. Visitation from 1:00 to 2:00p.m. at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
