Betty O. Asher

Age 87, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Betty was born July 7, 1938 in Dayton to the late George C. & Bertie M. (Stevenson) Moore. In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Lawrence E. Asher, in 2012; an infant daughter, Andrea; her brother, Walter L. Moore; and by her best friend of many years, Barbara Allen.

Betty retired from Key Bank (formerly Third National Bank & Society Bank) with 46 years of service. She was a member of Open Bible Christian Church and she greatly enjoyed getting together with her former co-workers in the “birthday club.”

Betty is survived by one son, Scott & his wife, Angela Asher; two grandchildren, Rebecca Weiss (Forest) and Zachary Asher (Alaina); and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Friday, October 31, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Sean Stanley officiating. Interment will be at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
