Arthur Howard Neff, Jr., “Art,” 77, of Vandalia, went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2025 after an extended illness. He was born on October 22, 1947 to Arthur H. Neff, Sr. and Elizabeth M. (Carmichael) Neff. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Philip L Neff and Bobbie Hagerman. Art retired from Delphi Automotive with 30 years of service as a Millwright and worked for many years at the Dayton Auto Auction. His favorite pastime was hunting and camping with the family. Art is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Flora (Stepp); his daughters, Dina (Jeff) Johnson, Crystal Martin (Matt Miller); son, Greg H. Neff; step-son, Tom Hodge (Amy); brother, Gary (Vicki) Neff; sisters, Beverly Crabtree, Marilyn (Ron) Netzley and Carol McNeal; grandchildren, Andrew Johnson, Jordan Johnson (Kaylie Leamman), Cameron (Jeremy) Yoder, Brody Martin, Madison (Shylan) Raiff and Tanner Martin; 1 great grandson, James Bear Raiff and many nieces and nephews, and his two beautiful miniature poodles, Rowdy and Badger. He was a loving and caring person and will be missed by many. The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 12 at 12 noon at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, with funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Mark Batton, officiating. Interment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville.
