Arthur R. "Art" Henderson

HENDERSON, Arthur R. Art , age 77 of Butler Twp., passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 5, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Art was an active member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church and the Vandalia Lions Club. Preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Art is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joanne (Guthrie) Henderson; 1 son, William A. & wife, Victoria Henderson of NY; 1 grandson, Andrew M. Henderson; brother-in-law, George P. Guthrie & wife, Margaret of CO; and numerous nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services, including the Lions Club service, will be held at 12:30 pm, Wednesday, April 6 at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Thomas Weeks officiating. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 am until time of service on Wednesday. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Vandalia United Methodist Church in Arts memory.
