Anita Lorraine Berk

Age 89, of Tipp City, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Bethany Lutheran Village. Lorraine was born September 20, 1935 in Rogersville, Tennessee to the late Floyd & Margie (Dye) Smith. In addition to her parents, Lorraine was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Edward F. Berk, in 2020; and by one brother, Roy Smith.

Lorraine was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, The Dayton Ski Club “The Raccoons.” She was employed at TRW in Dayton for more than 30 years. She and her husband, Ed, loved spending their free time in Traverse City, Michigan.

Lorraine is survived by one son, David Jenks & his wife, Tonya; four grandchildren, Taylor Sophia Jenks, Nathan Herres, Kristen (Wade) Lancaster and Brittany (Mike) Giallanza; one niece, Glenda (Bobby) Sanders; and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, Tuesday, July 29, at Morton & Whetstone funeral home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia, Ohio 45377. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 pm with Rev. Fr. Andrew Smith officiating. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton.

The family would like to thank the staff at both Bethany Lutheran Village and The Hospice of Dayton for the loving care they provided to Lorraine.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Lorraine to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
