SNELL, A. Darline

Age 88, passed away Wed., May 6, 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. Darline was born January 12, 1938 in Danville, KY. She was a 1956 graduate of Northridge HS. She retired from Family Services Association at age 80. 

Darline enjoyed spending time with family – especially her great-grandchildren, playing cards and reading. She was active, happy and healthy until the end, and she’ll be deeply missed. 

She is survived by her sister Carol (Foley) Parsons; children Diane (Jeff) Madewell and Robert M. Snell; grandchildren Lauren Brown and Hannah Brown; great-grandchildren Michael Holt, Dahlia Gruver and Jackson Raymond, and numerous family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert Snell, parents Herbert and Christine (Long) Foley, and son-in-law Jeff Madewell. 

Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 22 at 10 a.m. at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 N Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH (Section #10). 

Morton & Whetstone funeral home (Vandalia) is in charge of arrangements.
