Louann Alice Hunter Andrews

Passed away on November 8, 2023.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Alice Evans Harris and John Ivan Hunter on January 13, 1931. She resided in and attended school in St. Clairsville, Ohio before moving to Erie in 1942. She was a member of Academy High School graduating class of 1949 and attended Villa Maria College. She retired from Zurn Industries.

Louann was a long-time member of Lakewood United Methodist Church and served on many boards and committees, a member of Misery Bay Dulcimer Club and was a volunteer at Asbury Woods Nature Center for many years. She served on the Boards of Wesbury Community and Hillside Home, both in Meadville, PA.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Chester (Chet) Andrews in 2003; her sister, June Sullivan Anderson; and by her dear friends, Bertha (Bea) Stough and Robert Christman.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy B. Matts & her husband, Allan of Lebanon, Ohio, her son, C. Paul Andrews of Minneapolis, Minnesota, two grandsons, Christian Matts of New York, NY and David Matts of Dayton, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2024 , at Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, 7505 Taylorsville Road, Huber Heights, Ohio 45424.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Louann to Lakewood United Methodist Church, Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church or Asbury Woods Nature Center.
