Roscoe Joseph Beeson

Age 95, of Apache Junction, AZ passed away December 28, 2018. Roscoe was born August 14, 1923 to the late Frank A. and Theresa Beeson. Roscoe was the eighth child of eleven children, all of which graduated from Vandalia-Butler High School. After high school Roscoe worked the family farm until he was called to serve in the U. S. Armed Forces during WWII. After returning from the Army Roscoe met and married Gloria Piatt of Fairborn, Ohio and they had four children, Sue Ann, Mark Andrew, LaDonna Jean and Janet Lynn. Roscoe then started a grocery owning and operating two stores while working for Moler’s Dairy. He retired from both Moler’s Dairy and Hollander Industries and moved to Arizona where he enjoyed his retirement with his life companion, Rita Stewart. Roscoe is preceded in death by his daughter, Sue Ann Mueller; granddaughter, Rhonda Kay Moulton; brothers, Ambrose, John & Vincent Beeson; sisters, Pauline, Carolyn, Margaret, Julia (Peggy) and Elizabeth (Betty). He is survived by his children, Mark A. Beeson, LaDonna Schukie, Jan (Ed) Bruxer, Debbie Dix, Sandy, Michelle and Chief Hatfield; brothers, George (Phyliss) Beeson of Marysville, Ohio and Richard (Judy) Beeson of Hendersonville, NC; grandchildren, Gloria Bagby, Stephanie & Steven McCallister, Ronald (Heather) Shepherd, Brian, Jonathon & Dylan Beeson, Ashley (Todd) Grace, Michael Bruxer, Ashton, Aubree & Bergen Dix; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Wright State University School of Medicine for their special studies and care of Roscoe’s remains as he had donated his body to science. A graveside committal service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2019, at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Christopher Church, 435 E. National Road, Vandalia, Ohio 45377 or to Wright State University School of Medicine, Fairborn, Ohio.
