Kaaren T. Graham, age 77 of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019. She was born September 5, 1942 in Dayton, to the late Roger and Ondia (Gebhart) Throckmorton. In addition to her parents, Kaaren was preceded in death by her husband David Graham, sisters Ondia Mae Ries and Joyceann Collins. She is survived by her three children: Susan Graham (Tim Otto) of New York, NY; Michael Graham (Amy) and Stephen Graham (Tiffany) of Worthington, OH; six beloved grandchildren: Lenny, Vivian, Mylee, Owen, William and Maxwell; one brother: Roger Throckmorton (Suzanne Wuthrich) of New Washington, OH; companion Michael Anderson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Kaaren graduated from Brookville High School in 1960 and was a retired employee of the City of Vandalia; working many years with the fire and police departments. Over the years her hobbies included ceramics, cross-stitching, coupon club and collecting. She loved spending time with her family & friends, working puzzles, and curling up with a good book. The family will receive friends at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Sunday October 27 from 1:00-3:00pm, with a celebration of life to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and the Hospice of Dayton in Kaaren’s memory.
