Janet F. Campbell

Age 83, of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Singing Woods Assisted Living. Janet was born May 27, 1936 in Manchester, Ohio to the late Cooper & Bernice (Nicodemus) Scott. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, James, who passed in 2015.

Janet is survived by four children, Jeffrey Campbell & his wife, Linda, Judy Pinson & her husband, Mike, Julia Strader & her husband, Todd and Jacalyn Mitchell & her husband, Rob; nine grandchildren, Kayla, Elizabeth, Wesley, Andrew, Jason, Jennifer, Claudia, Rianna & Rebekah; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Larry Scott & his wife, Ann and Eileen Michael & her husband, Al; and by her extended family & many good friends with a special mention to Jodie Tackett.

Janet was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for over 50 years and active with the church guild. She was also a long-time employee of Sears.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 7, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday (10/8) at the funeral home with Chaplain Randy Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
