Gena Janow

Age 93, passed away on September 6, 2019. She was born on June 22, 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Tye Janow.

Gena leaves behind her two sons, Richard and Mike Janow; her grandchildren, Mike, Christyl, Tim and Zack Janow; eight great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends that will treasure her memory forever.

Gena was a spitfire Italian with a heart of gold and will always be remembered for her Italian cooking – especially her spaghetti, Christmas cookies and candy, and for her love of her family and friends.

We will celebrate Gena’s life on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia, Ohio 45377 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made in Gena’s memory to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
