Audrey Frances “Fran” Lawson

Age 90, of Vandalia, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at Grandview Medical Center.  Fran was born September 7, 1928 in Mt. Pisgah, Kentucky, daughter of the late John G. & Bonnie (Wood) Sharp.  In addition to her parents, Fran was also preceded in death by her siblings, Irene, Eugene, Evelyn, Elizabeth (Bethel), Paul & Junior (John).

Fran was a former employee of Delco Products-Inland Div and Wright Patterson AFB. For the last 20+ years she worked and baked pies for the Original Rib House.   She was well known as "The pie Lady" and was best known for her sour cream apple pie for which she won 1st place at the apple festival. 

Fran always enjoyed being with family, tending to her beautiful flower garden and most importantly watching her beloved Cincinnati Reds.

Fran is survived by six children, Mike (Cathy), Debbie Shiverdecker, Nick, Vickie Thornton (Mike), Cindy Koerner (Ron), and Jeff (Teresa). Sister, Opal Sharp Wright of Jamestown, Tennessee. Grandchildren Larry, Audrey, Amanda, Matthew, Aaron, Aimee, Brittany, Jeffrey and Kacie. Great Grandchildren Jordan, Destinie, Brian Jr, Samuel, Elizabeth, Allison, Lucas, Harper, Victoria, Bobby, Mekenzie, Jayce, Natalie, Haley, Abbey, Harper and one on the way in October 2019. Also extended family (nieces and nephews) along with numerous friends including Ann Young.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.  Interment will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-7 pm.
