Edward Miller

MILLER, Edward L., “Ed”, age 67 of Butler Township passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 18, 2019.  Ed was born September 11, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Joseph F. Sr. and Nellie M. (Cummings) Miller.  He was a 1969 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School and the owner of Miller Motors.  Ed was an avid car collector, and loved his hot rod cars, many of which were featured in numerous hot rod and automotive publications over the years.  Ed was also an active member of the Miami Valley Novas Club.  He was always generous with his time and expertise and available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  His dry sense of humor always kept his family and friends laughing.  Preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda Miller, Ed is survived by two brothers, Joseph Miller Jr. (Doris Noblin) of Ann Arbor, MI and Robert “Bob” Miller of Vandalia; one sister, Evelyn Miller of Vandalia, along with his nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.  A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Sunday, July 21 from 2-4 pm, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia.  In lieu of flowers, Ed’s family requests that donations be made to the Tornado Disaster Relief Fund, c/o The Dayton Foundation, 40 N. Main Street, Ste. 500, Dayton, Ohio 45423.
