Deborah Kay Steele

Age 51, of Butler Twp., passed away unexpectedly on November 30, 2019. Deborah was born November 6, 1968 in Dayton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her father, Peter R. Steele.

Deborah was the owner & operator of Rags & Threads. She was truly a seamstress for the community, specializing in all types of clothing, including band uniforms and wedding dresses. She was very active with her church, formerly with Stillwater United Methodist Church and more recently with Christian Life Center.

Deborah is survived by her mother & stepfather, Lynn & Mike Owen; three children, Andrew Cline (Shelby Peyton), Rose Box and Jonathon Box; brother, Chris Steele; and sister-in-law, Cindy Steele.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 8, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Private interment will be at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Deborah to either the Dayton Foodbank or the Artemis Center.
