Allora "Jane" Barrett

BARRETT, Allora "Jane"., age 78 of Vandalia, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Versailles Rehab and Health Center.   She was born January 26, 1941 in Bartlick, Virginia, daughter of the late Frank & Allie -(Puckett) Mayton.   Jane was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.   She enjoyed reading, crafting and birdwatching. 

Preceded in death by 1 grandchild, 3 brothers, and 1 sister, Jane is survived by her 4 children, Anita Leyes (Paul), Sonia Darst (Jim), Bob Barrett (Lisa) and Sandy Smith; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, 2 sisters, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, December 16 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Michael Malcosky officiating.  Interment will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until time of service.   If so desired, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Allora’s memory.
